Roll Up Your IntelliGantt SharePoint Projects with a
Project Portfolio Dashboard

Since TeamDirection first introduced its rich desktop integration with SharePoint, customers have been asking for a way to roll up SharePoint projects into one view. IntelliGantt, of course, supports a multi-project view-- the ability to view multiple projects in one project sheet on the desktop. But what about a solution for the SharePoint server? After all, project managers would like one central dashboard to report progress and stakeholders would like one simple link to view it.

TeamDirection is proud to partner with Bamboo Solutions and bring you a SharePoint Project Portfolio Dashboard that rolls up your SharePoint projects, provides information on their health and uses clear graphs to communicate the most up-to-date information. Using our IntelliGantt Portfolio Bundle  solution, a project manager gain and stakeholder many productive benefits:

  • An industry leading Project Portfolio Dashboard web part built for SharePoint
  • A single location update project summary information for all projects
  • Basic project health information
  • Project updates as simple as two-clicks for the project manager
  • Extremely flexible Project Portfolio Dashboard configuration

Below are important highlights pulled from our in-depth screencast showing the combination in action.

Screenshot 1:The IntelliGantt Add In for Microsoft Project plugs in to Microsoft Project 2007 Standard or Professional. It provides the connectivity to both SharePoint Task/Issue lists and to the Project Portfolio Dashboard.

Screenshot 2:Here is the shared project in the GanttView of a SharePoint task list. You use IntelliGantt to send and receive updates to and from the SharePoint task list so that the team can report on progress and the project manager is up-to-date.

Screenshots 3, 4 & 5:The following three screenshots show the summary rollup of the executing project in the Project Portfolio Dashboard. This provides project managers a single desitnation for all the projects they are executing that stakeholders may view.

Screenshot 6: IntelliGantt's rich integration with Microsoft Project provides the conduit for both tasks that team members update and reports that stakeholders review. You create and update a report t by clicking 'Report' under the IntelliGantt menu.

Screenshot 7: The IntelliGantt Report form pops up. If its the first report for this project then you will need to provide the URL and select the Project Portfolio Dashboard to use. If you've already done this step once, then the URL and Project Portfolio Dashboard are filled in and selected for you.

Similarly, when you click 'OK' the first time, IntelliGantt will create a new report entry in the Project Portfolio Dashboard. After this first time, when you click 'OK' IntelliGantt will update the existing summary rather than create new ones. This let's you give direct links that don't change to everyone interested in your projects progress.

Screenshot 8: We could show many, many screenshots highlighting how flexible and customizable the Project Portfolio Dashboard is. But rather then take our word for it, we suggest you try it out yourself.

TeamDirection and Bamboo Solutions have teamed up to provide the simplest way to create projects, collaborate with the team and report progress to stakeholders on the SharePoint platform. In any group effort its important to provide the right tools for the right people.
